1. Periods of unusually high or irritable mood that felt clearly different from your usual self.

2. Noticeably more energy or activity than usual.

3. Less need for sleep without feeling tired.

4. Racing thoughts or your mind felt “sped up.”

5. Talking more or faster than usual.

6. Easily distracted or trouble staying on track.

7. Increased goal-directed activity (work, school, projects, social plans).

8. Unusually confident or feeling “on top of the world.”

9. Increased risk-taking (spending, speeding, sex, substances, or other impulsive decisions).

10. Irritability or impatience that others noticed.

11. Socially more outgoing than usual (seeking people, making many plans).
