Step-by-Step Task Instructions
1. Baseline (Rest)
Sit still and relax for 30 seconds. Rate your current symptoms before starting any tasks.
2. Smooth Pursuits (Eye Tracking)
Hold a target (finger or pen) at arm’s length. Slowly move it side to side for 10–15 seconds while keeping your head still. Follow it only with your eyes.
3. Horizontal Saccades (Left–Right)
Hold two targets about shoulder-width apart. Quickly move your eyes back and forth between them for 10–15 seconds without moving your head.
4. Vertical Saccades (Up–Down)
Hold one target above eye level and one below. Move your eyes quickly up and down between them for 10–15 seconds.
5. Near Point Convergence
Hold a target at arm’s length and slowly bring it toward your nose. Stop when it becomes blurry or double. Note the distance and symptom increase.
6. VOR Horizontal (Head Turns)
Hold a target in front of you. Keep your eyes fixed on it while turning your head side to side at a moderate speed for 10–15 seconds.
7. VOR Vertical
Keep your eyes on the target while moving your head up and down at a steady pace for 10–15 seconds.
8. Visual Motion Sensitivity
Stand and rotate your body and head together side to side while focusing on a stationary target for 10–15 seconds.
